Going Home

Noah Scherger arrived home today. He was Very Happy to go to his new home, meet the dogs, spend some time with Dad and do what he love to do best, have dinner with mommy.

The Schergers

Here is the happy family together.

Getting ready to go home.

Before Noah could go home this morning, he had to checked out by the MD in the nursery. Afterwards, he got to relax with Dad.

Noah visits some friends

Noah had a very busy day on Monday. He was examined by the doctor, circumcised, took a hearing test, and had blood drawn for a PKU test. But despite all that he still made time to visit some friends. Here he is visiting Becky Berg PT and wife to Aaron who is getting her new baby fix. He also met Jon and Teresa Grega and their son Nick. Nick was born about 6 weeks ago, he gave some advice to Noah..."Hang Loose" (notice Nicks hand)

More photos with more to come soon

I made a quick trip home to let out "the girls" who were very excited to see me. They barked and ran around for at least 20 min. I wanted to make a quick post. Here is Noah getting his first bath. Notice Kristin who had just given birth 45 minutes before getting right into it. What a woman. Noah has a great set of lungs...but is loosing his voice as he likes to show them off to the nurses. Thanks for all the comments. More photos to come when we get HOME.

What a Woman!

Kristin has been fabulous! I cannot believe how strong she has been through this whole experience. It took amazing courage and strength to do what she did and to keep doing it. Kristin I Love You!!

Noah Meets Family

On Sunday about eight hours after he was born, Noah found out that he is part of a much larger family. Here Noah is pictured with his Grandma and Grandpa Harrold and His great Uncle Tom and his great significant other Katharine.

Noah is here!!

Noah Andrew Scherger was born on August 7th at 7:05 am at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids Minnesota. He weighed 7# 10 oz and was 21 inches long. Kristin did a fantastic job of delivering him. She was in labor from 4:00pm Saturday until Sunday morning. Mother and Baby are doing fine.

It might be a long night

At Mercy, we have been monitoring Kristin's Labor after the water was broken. Labor was started Au natural' but then fizzled out. So we started pitocin to get things gone at about 9:00pm. The contractions are stronger but not progressing things......So we wait, adjust the medication and wait more. There is no going back now though Noah will soon be here! All in all we are very excited. Thanks to all who are helping take care of the dogs and praying for us.

We got the Call!

After a bit of a delay due to the hospital (Hotel Mercy) being full we got the call that we are able to come in Today, Saturday at 11:00am. This is good because I ran out of things to do at home after mowing the lawn, even though it was mowed on Thursday. I call it constructive pacing Kristin thinks I am crazy.
Kristin and I are relieved to go in and get this started. Last night she got really tired of her contractions and waiting. She plans on going in and saying to the doctor..."OK.... Bring it on!"
We all are anxious...I look forward to calling every one about the good news.
Thanks for the thoughts and Prayers.

Here is Kristin's "belly shot" at 8 months

It seems amazing that the little guy as seen in the Ultrasound picture below can grow so big, so fast.

We can't wait to meet him.

Noah Andrew Scherger

Well It has been a long hot summer here in Minnesota. But as you can see the heat is growing babies big and strong. Kristin is taking a rest here from the Sun in our back yard by the (kiddie/doggie) pool.
